A Fairy Tail RPG announcement came out of nowhere earlier this month by Koei Tecmo and Gust. At TGS 2019 they followed up with more details and a new trailer, showing more of its characters, setting, and Guild.
In the trailer we get a closer look at the five playable characters thus far with Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Erza Scarlet, Gray Fullbuster, and Wendy Marvell.
In addition to Wendy, Lucy, Natsu, Gray, and Erza there will be over 10 unique playable characters.
Fairy Tail is known for its many wonderful Guilds and it’ll play a big role in the game as well. You’ll grow together with your Guild as you advance through the game and take on various requests. By taking on requests you’ll unlock more items from the shop, build a research laboratory, and more.
The above is a look at the city of Magnolia.
As for battles, you can use “Mode Change” in battle. There are support characters to call out for powerful attacks, as shown by Makarov Dreyar at the end of the new trailer. In case you missed it, the battles use a command-based system.
More details on the Fairy Tail game will be announced in an official online broadcast in October 2019.
