Falcom announced that The Legend of Heroes’ Trails series has reached 3.9 million in total sales and the Trails of Cold Steel subseries has hit 1.5 million in a press release today.

The last time we got an update on sales figures from the series was back in June when Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo shared that the Trails series hit 3.5 million and Trails of Cold Steel reached 1.3 million.

Falcom noted that digital sales for the PS4 remasters,Trails of Cold Steel I: Kai –Thors Military Academy 1204- and Trails of Cold Steel II: Kai –The Erebonian Civil War-, were higher than expected and over their projected figures. It was also added that pre-orders for Trails of Cold Steel IV are going exceptionally well, surpassing the company’s initial forecast in sales and profits.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV releases in Japan on September 27, 2018 for PlayStation 4. In the West we’re still waiting on localization announcements for Trails of Cold Steel III and Trails of Cold Steel IV.
