Bandai Namco has updated the Android version of Pac-Man Championship Edition DX with a new feature unique to mobile devices. People who have the game will now have the ability to feel when Pac-Man turns every corner thanks to a haptic feedback option.
Immersion Corporation’s TouchSense Engage technology was implemented into Pac-Man Championship Edition DX by Bandai Namco to allow for tactile feedback when Pac-Man moves through the maze. As an example, there are moments in this version of Pac-Man where the character is able to grind and scrape along corners and walls. When that happens, the phone will vibrate in response to the action.
To coincide with the launch of the haptic update, Bandai Namco has temporarily reduced Pac-Man Championship Edition DX on Google Play. It will be $2.99 for an unspecified amount of time for Android devices.
