FFVII Remake Red XIII and Cait Sith Glasses Heading to Japan

Square Enix opened pre-orders for two new FFVII Remake rocks glasses inspired by characters Red XIII and Cait Sith. Each glass costs 1,518 JPY (or about $10), and they are scheduled to release on September 30, 2023. Pre-orders are now open from the Square Enix online eStore in Japan. Given how Square Enix works, we could see pre-orders open in its worldwide storefronts eventually as well.

The glasses have curved walls and are transparent, but each has colored engravings of Red XIII and Cait Sith. Their faces are engraved on one side, with Red XIII’s tail and Cait Sith’s cape and tail on the other side of the glass.

You can check out the FFVII Remake Red XIII and Cait Sith glasses in more detail here:

In the original FFVII, Red XIII and Cait Sith are party members that join Cloud and the rest in their world search for Sephiroth. In the FFVII Remake, Red XIII only appears an AI-controlled guest party member due to him only appearing near the end of the game. Meanwhile, Cait Sith has a brief cameo, since in the original FFVII the character joins the party at the Gold Saucer, well after the end of the Remake.

Other recently revealed Final Fantasy VII Remake merchandise includes a necklace based on the logo of the Seventh Heaven bar.

The FFVII Remake Red XIII and Cait Sith rocks glasses cost 1,518 JPY (~$10) each, and they will ship in Japan on September 30, 2023.
