Square Enix and Embody announced the free trial for Immerse Gamepack, a 3D spatial sound upgrade for FFXIV, has been extended. It used to last 14 days. Now, someone can try it for 30 days. Additionally, those who have already used the trial will be able to activate it once more.
Created by Embody, the Immerse Gamepack is an upgrade to FFXIV’s sound system to work with 3D Spatial audio. It was created with the cooperation of the FFXIV sound team and aims to make the games SFX and enviromental sounds clearer. The product also boasts full headset compatibility and supports sample rates up to 384 kHz.
That’s one of multiple updates for the game on the way. Part 1 of Patch 6.5 is set to come to FFXIV in October 2023, with Part 2 to be detailed in a Producer Live Letter at TGS 2023. The game also recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with several events and a side story for the character Thancred. The game is also scheduled to come to Xbox Series X in Spring 2024, as revealed during the latest FanFest in Las Vegas.
Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available for PC, PS4 and PS5,with part one of Patch 6.5 scheduled for October 2023. The Immerse Gamepack for FFXIV is available now for $19.99, with a 30 day free trial available as well.
