FFXIV The Rising 2021 Event Begins Next Week

Every year, Square Enix celebrates Final Fantasy XIV’s revival in-game. Instead of Foundation Day to honor the game’s launch, every August there’s a The Rising event to celebrate the August 2013 debut of A Realm Reborn. Now, The Rising 2021 event will begin in FFXIV on August 27, 2021 and bring parasols and potpourri with it.

Here’s how the event will work this year. People who reached level 15 can visit Kipih Jakkya in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald. She’s a reporter who’s been a part of FFXIV back before the A Realm Reborn relaunch. People can speak with her to trigger the Rising Calm quest.

As for the new The Rising 2021 event items, people will be able to get Nymeia Potpourri and a Red Moon Parasol. The Red Moon Parasol can be carried and references Dalamud’s fall during the Seventh Umbral Calamity. Meanwhile, the potpourri can be used to make a flowery wreath appear.

Square Enix’s event page also mentioned past FFXIV The Rising events will be sold at a vendor. It didn’t mention which items might reappear. As a reminder, one of the 2020 items was a Wind-up Ardbert Minion.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The FFXIV The Rising event will be held August 27, 2021 through September 9, 2021.
