Earlier this week Square Enix set a release date for Dragon Quest V and announced Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume. They didn’t mention Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time at all and I wouldn’t have expected them too since the game wont come out in Japan until January 29, 2009.
But, hey, we have a pretty good idea that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time will get an international release since it has worldwide online play and “Echoes of Time” was trademarked in the USA. The question is really when and according to a retail leak from good old Gamestop it might be soon.
Placeholder pages for the Wii and DS versions of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time popped up with a March 31, 2009 release date. That’s a Tuesday and since games are typically released on Tuesdays its possible that Square Enix will have the English version ready by then. However, since this is a retail listing I wouldn’t count on Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time coming out exactly then. Maybe we’ll see it in spring ’09.
