Real time footage from Final Fantasy Versus XIII was drizzled in between clips, very old clips, of Noctis in a limousine at Square Enix’s Tetsuya Nomura Closed Mega Theater. And this real time footage consisted of Noctis and Stella talking without any voice acting. We’re still going to have to wait to see if Final Fantasy Versus XIII can produce action scenes as dramatic as the full motion clips of Noctis teleporting and throwing swords.
Final Fantasy Versus XIII was the final clip Square Enix showed us and it ended with “For PlayStation 3 Only Worldwide” with no release date. Interestingly, Final Fantasy XIII’s clip, which also consisted of a lot of recycled clips, closed with a 2009 release window “For PlayStation 3.” Back at E3 Square Enix said the Xbox 360 version of Final Fantasy XIII would come out the same day as the PlayStation 3 release in North America. I hope this doesn’t mean Final Fantasy XIII is going to get pushed back until 2010…
