For those looking to test the waters, new players will be able to play through Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and its Heavensward expansion for free starting August 11, 2020. As long as the players in question have not purchased it, the free FFXIV trial will allow them to experience those things. That’s an extremely generous offer, and it has more than enough content for new players to cut their teeth on.
Free players will be able to unlock Heavensward exclusive classes as well. So even though they’ll be playing through the MMO and expansion trial, they will have access to jobs like the Dark Knight, Machinist, and Astrologian. Additionally, players will also be able to reach level 60 with as many jobs as they have available. The sky is the limit for with this new update.
Previously, the free FFXIV trial only allowed players to reach up to level thirty five and only have access to content from A Realm Reborn. Now is the time to look into it if you were hesitant before, as the inclusion of experiencing Heavensward for free (along with its three unique jobs) is worth dedicating some time to.
Additionally, the fat has been trimmed away from certain segments in A Realm Reborn, further streamlining the experience. Players who are addicted to creating alts will certainly love this update, and new players won’t have to drag their feet through an enormous amount of quests.
