Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers Patch 5.01 Now Live; Adds FF VIII-Themed Raid With Sweet Remix

With Gunbreaker being added as one of the two new jobs to Final Fantasy XIV’s Shadowbringers expansion, the MMO just got more love for Final Fantasy VIII with the new Eden’s Gate raid dungeon.

Below are highlights for what’s new from Patch 5.01:

New Chronicles of a New Era Quests

Players must first complete the final Main Scenario Quest of Shadowbringers with a minimum level requirement of level 80. The quest titled “In the Middle of Nowhere” is available to start at The Crystarium (X: 9.7 Y:12.3) by talking to Anxious Crystarium Guard.

New Raid Dungeon: Eden’s Gate

The new eight-man raid dungeon also requires players to complete “In the Middle of Nowhere” to take on. The quest is “Deploy the Core” and is available at The Empty (X:6.1 Y:5.7). In addition to the level 80 requirement, the raid has an Item Level requirement of i425 or above.

Class/Job Action Adjustments

Lancer/Dragoon

• Disembowel – Duration has been increased from 24 to 30 seconds.

Scholar

• Art of War – MP cost reduced from 800 to 600.

Astrologian

• Gravity – MP cost reduced from 700 to 600.

New Items

The items added in Patch 5.01 will be listed at a later date.
