Square Enix revealed the Japanese voice actors for Final Fantasy XVI, the upcoming game in the long-standing series. Final Fantasy XVI has the player control Clive Rosfield, a young noble man in search of revenge after a tragedy that befalls his family, involving powerful mythical summons called Eikons. The Japanese voice actors for Final Fantasy XVI include Yuma Uchida as young Clive Rosfield. He is known for other roles such as Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, Castor in Fate/Grand Order, and Rock Howard in The King of Fighters series. Yūya Uchida will voice the adult version of Clive Rosfield. A member of the Haiyuza Theatre Company, he has previously voiced the Violence Fiend Galgali in Chainsaw Man.
Natsumi Fujiwara lends her voice to Joshua Rosfield, Clive’s younger brother and the Dominant of Phoenix. She previously worked on Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind as the voice of young Giorno Giovanna and Abigail Jones in Great Pretender. Megumi Han voices Clive and Joshua’s childhood friend, Jill Warrick. She played Eunie in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Cidolfus Telamon, this game’s incarnation of Cid, is voiced by Hiroshi Shirokuma. He has previously voiced Cervantes de Leon in Soulcalibur VI.

Other additional voices include Yasuhiro Mamiya as Hugo Kupka (Titan’s Dominant), Akari Higuchi as Benedikta Harman (Garuda’s Dominant), Yuichi Nakamura as Dion Lesage (Bahamut’s Dominant), and Gotaro Tsunashima as Barnabas Tharmr (Odin’s Dominant).
Final Fantasy XVI will release on June 23, 2023 for the PS5. It will be a timed exclusive for six months. After the timed exclusivity period, it could be available on other platforms, similar to Final Fantasy VII Remake.
