Fire Emblem Engage Somniel Trailer Shows Off Your Hub and Activities

There’s a new Fire Emblem Engage trailer, and this one focuses on the Somniel hub. This is a floating castle area people can visit and explore between battles. Once there, someone can interact with other characters and prepare. The video focuses on some of the activities. It also shows off possible Fire Emblem Engage romance elements.

The video begins with a preparing for battle segment. Someone can visit the plaza for shopping. There’s an armory for equipment and item shop for things like torches or vulneraries.

There is also a Ring Chamber, where you can see the Emblem Rings. This lets you create bond rings, meld them, polish them, inherit skills, or engage weapons. The skills are ones you inherit from the bonds to make characters smarter. You can create multiple rings there.

It is possible to fight in the Somniel in Fire Emblem Engage too, as two places are shown for those elements in the trailer. An Arena can be visited to take part in standard or Emblem practice battles. Experience can be earned here. Tower of Trials involves battles for in-game rewards or custom battle maps you create and share with others.

At the 2:47 mark in the trailer, the possible Fire Emblem Engage romance elements come up. People can show up in Somniel to relax. People can talk outside of battle. Cafe Terrace can be visited to eat with people after having a meal made. It is also possible to give gifts to form bonds.

The trailer ends with relaxing elements. Fishing will be present. You can have animals in your farmyard. Sommie is there as a pet, who can be fed or… pet. You can also equip accessories and items.

Here is the full Fire Emblem Engage Somniel trailer.

Fire Emblem Engage will come to the Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023.
