During the Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.3 special program, HoYoVerse gave more information on the new characters Firefly and Jade. We also got information on the order of their banners.
Firefly will be a 5-star Fire Destruction character who specializes in Break Effect. She can consume her own HP to deal damage with her Skill and she can enter Complete Combustion state with her Ultimate. When she’s in Complete Combustion state, she can use enhanced versions of her Basic Attack and Skill, which restore her HP and deal extra damage scaling off Break Effect.
Jade will be a 5-star Quantum Erudition character. She works similar to other IPC characters in that she can deal follow-up attack. Her Skill lets her buff an ally’s SPD and deal extra damage when they attack. However, it’ll cost them some HP. Jade can use this Skill on herself as well, but she’ll enjoy the benefits without the extra cost. Every time someones he has a contract with attacks, she gains stacks and launches a follow-up attack when she gets enough. Jade’s Ultimate deals Quantum DMG to all targets and enhances her follow-up attack. As well, her Basic Attack can deal Blast Quantum DMG instead of just to a single target.
The first phase of the update will feature Firefly and Ruan Mei. 4-stars on rate-up during these banners are Gallagher, Xueyi, and Misha. As Firefly is still part of the current Break Effect meta, all of these characters (including Ruan Mei) should work well with her. The second phase will introduce Jade and re-run Argenti. 4-stars on rate-up will be Serval, Natasha, and Asta.
Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. Version 4.3 of Honkai: Star Rail, which will introduce Firefly and Jade, will go live on June 19, 2024.
