Nippon Ichi recently announced that htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary will be released in the west this Fall. Meanwhile in Japan, the game has seen a new update that allows players control the game using analog stick, for those that aren’t comfortable with the touch screen
According to the official website, the update introduces a new control option that lets you switch the control scheme to control the fireflies using the analog stick for players who can’t get used to the touchscreen mechanism.
Additionally, the official website recently shared the following video that gives us a little clue about what’s going on in the world of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary:
Year 2078, June 12th, fine weather.
How long has it been since we escaped into this “hole”?
Did the flames of war already burn down the outside world? Will the flames of war reach all the way down here?
Those of us who were cornered into this hole, are growing a “tree”. A giant tree that can leave behind all of life, for the future.
If this research succeeds, perhaps we can show Mion the outside world.
I’m not doing this for the sake of the many who survived. I want this research to succeed for the sake of Mion.
Speaking of Mion, it’s almost her birthday. I’ve been thinking about what to give her as a present.
I found a rabbit at the commercial district that would perhaps make her happy. I hope she likes it…
I would do anything for Mion… because it is the one hope I get from this world that has been wrapped in despair.
You can find out more about what happened in the world of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary when the game is released this Fall on PSN for PlayStation Vita.
