World of Warcraft may dominate the MMO scene, but Final Fantasy XI is still alive. Square Enix will support their premier online RPG with three downloadable episodes. Crystalline Prophecy – Ode of Life Bestowing puts a giant crystal over Jeuno on March 23. If you pay $9.99 for the episode you can see how it links to Vana’diel’s past. After a version update scheduled in April 2009 players who purchased the episode get access to the new content. A difference between the sale date and play date for the downloadable MMO episode? Is this standard?
