Tell Me Why follows supernaturally connected twins named Tyler and Alyson. They return to their hometown. Their goal is to determine what happened exactly in the past and come to terms with things, Since the two are linked, they can go through their memories and connect. The choices you make will alter both their relationship and the ending. Ahead of launch, Dontnod offered a FAQ with some spoilers to assuage concerns about how representation is handled.

Originally, Dontnod did offer a part of Tell Me Why for free. As with many of its adventure games, it allowed people to sample the first chapter for free. This is a permanent offer, so people have access to something of a demo to determine if it is for them.

Tell Me Why is available for the Xbox One and PC. It is only free via the Microsoft Store at the moment until June 30, 2021. Valve is still charging $19.99 for all three episodes of the adventure via Steam.
