Strania may be designed to feel like an 80’s style shooter, but the mecha you pilot has more weapon options than most arcade games from that period.
Your mecha can hold three weapons, one in each hand plus a reserve item. Weapons include homing missiles, lasers, bombs, a bullet that bounces, and a sword. Pressing the B button cycles through the different configurations. If you have a sword and a gun your mecha will slash then shoot. It’s possible to pick up two swords, which gives you a special attack.
G. Rev created six stages for Strania, but you need to beat the game on hard mode to take on the final mission. Strania will be available on March 30 on Xbox Live Arcade worldwide.
