Tomb Raider, Call of Duty, Spec Ops: The Line, YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z and more make up the impressive resumé list of the gentleman at newly-formed indie studio Tangentlemen.

The studio staff includes such names as  head honcho Toby Gard, who was the creator of the original Tomb Raider; John Garcia-Shelton, a producer for YAIBA: Ninja Gaiden Z, the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty games; and Cory Davis, creative director for Spec Ops: The Line.

(If you forgot the last one, it was widely lauded for its plot and story moreso than the gameplay.)

The group, which came together during the development of YAIBA, have chosen to form a studio that challenges “the status quo of experiential game design”. Their first project is an existential horror game, tentatively titled Daedalus.

The game is in the concept phase, and will apparently take one on a “strange journey into human consciousness”. And to ensure they really get indie, they’re working out of Garcia-Shelton’s garage. You can follow them on Facebook.
