Angry Video Game Nerd II: ASSimilation, the sequel to the viciously-difficult sidescrolling shooter/platformer Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, will be out on March 29, 2016. The Steam page is offering %10 off on preorders, with buyers able to get a free soundtrack with their purchase.

AVGN II: ASSimiliation brings a few changes to the formula of the previous game along with it. Players will have access to new powers, such as a wall jump, as well be able to collect hidden pieces of armor in the game’s stages. This game is also more expansive, covering a huge world map filled with stages instead of just a handful of levels.

The game, like its predecessor, pokes fun at the absurd challenge of many of the older games that have been reviewed by The Angry Video Game Nerd. Players who are fans of the James Rolfe character can expect many inside jokes about old video games on top of ridiculous swearing and high challenge.
