Spanish house DJ and producer Dr. Kucho is fed up of “fake artists that became stars because of their money.” He’s so fed up, in fact, that he’s made a game about it inspired by Ghosts ‘N Goblins.

Yep, the idea behind Ghosts ‘N DJs is for it to play like the classic, and notoriously difficult, sidescrolling action NES game, but involves “fighting the monsters of today”, which are apparently these fake EDM DJs.

You’ll have to run, jump, and climb your way across the levels to eventually the defeat the musician at the end. Your weapons are vinyls, CD-Roms, pen drives, and tapes.

See if you can figure out who the enemy musicians are from their in-game names, they include: Devil Guetta, PitBullshit, Steve Sushi, Paris Sheraton, and Pauly Douchebag.

If you want, there’s a Windows, Mac, and Linux demo of Ghosts ‘N DJs available on its Kickstarter page. A copy of the game is available for the $15 backing tier and up. You can also vote for it on Steam Greenlight.
