GungHo CEO Expects To Sell 1 Million Copies Of Puzzle & Dragons Z This Holiday

Puzzle & Dragons Z, the Nintendo 3DS version of the smart phone game Puzzle & Dragons is scheduled to be released on December 12.

At a recent press event, Kazuki Morishita, the CEO of GungHo Online Entertainment, said that he wants the game to appeal to children who don’t own a smartphone, and he predicted that they will sell 1 million copies this holiday season.

 

The smart phone version is a massive success, with over 18 million downloads in Japan alone. In addition to the basic puzzle gameplay, the 3DS version includes more RPG elements and monsters.

 

GungHo has confirmed a western release for Puzzle & Dragons Z, but have not given a date yet.
