This year will see the release of a remake of the original Halo on the Xbox 360. Titled Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, the game will be released on November 15th. It will be a retail game for $40, and is being developed by Saber Interactive and Certain Affinity, in collaboration with Microsoft’s 343 Industries.
Combat Evolved Anniversary will allow for co-op play over Xbox Live, and include a bundle of the most popular maps in Halo “re-imagined” for Xbox Live, drawing inspiration from the maps in both Halo and Halo 2. It will also feature a more fleshed-out story, with additional back stories revealed in motion-graphic form. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary’s story will foreshadow Halo 4, according to Microsoft.
If you like, you’ll also have the ability to toggle Classic mode to play the original version of Halo.More information on Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary will be revealed at the Halo Fest event, which coincides with PAX Prime in August.
