Hand-Drawn Surreal Adventure The Rivers Of Alice Arrives On Steam

Surreal, hand-drawn adventure game The Rivers of Alice has an Extended Version that was released for Wii U back in October. It’s now also available on Steam for Windows and Mac.

It has you following a young girl called Alice who has to face her fears on a mystical journey after she falls asleep. These fears include sloth, envy, and dishonesty, all of which manifest as creatures and have to be confronted in the game’s puzzles.

Consisting of water colors, ink, and pencil-drawn images, The Rivers of Alice has an unusual look that blends different textures together to suit the mood of each scene. This is helped along by Spanish indie-rock group, Vetusta Morla, who composed the soundtrack and also inspired the game itself.
