This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

With the release of Resplendent Eliwood today, which featured Eliwood wearing Askrian garb, Intelligent Systems revealed that the next Hero to get a Resplendent upgrade in Fire Emblem Heroes is Hector: General of Ostia. Hector completes the trio of main characters from Fire Emblem: Blazing Blade, and comes wearing a new costume themed after Muspell.

Hector is one of the game’s premium 5* characters, and was the original Hero who wielded the Distant Counter skill. Sadly, he became powercrept over time, including by other versions of himself, and Resplendent Hector gains a stat boost that will hopefully put him back on par. Hector is equipped with Armads, which lets him guarantee a follow-up if he is at 80% HP or higher, and it can also be refined into Berserk Armads via the Weapon Refinery as well.

As a reminder, Resplendent skins are essentially new artwork for existing characters based on Heroes-centric realms and kingdoms. Apart from looks, it also provides a +2 boost to all stats. Resplendent skins are one of the main features touted behind the game’s Feh Pass paid subscription, and subscribed players get the Resplendent skin available for all copies of that particular unit, as well as a free copy with neutral Assets and Flaws. Hector continues the pattern established, where a 5*-exclusive Resplendent Hero is released on the 10th of every month, and a 3-4* Resplendent unit is released on the 25th of every month.

Fire Emblem Heroes is available for Android and iOS.
