Disgaea 4 has been out for (gets out calendar) two weeks now and there’s already a patch? Yes, and this is a sizable update. Nippon Ichi has a 440MB version update that tweaks two features in the game.

Perhaps inspired by Z.H.P: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman players can edit their base in Disgaea 4. The version update adds another layer of customization, you can choose characters to run shops. Give Fuka a part time job at Rosenqueen or make Flonne the gatekeeper. All you need to do is press the select button while you’re at a base to select characters for stores. Each character has their own dialogue too.

If you want to create custom maps you need CP. These points let players purchase objects and geo objects to design maps, which can be shared online. The version update makes earning CP easier. More CP in the wild should yield more robust maps for everyone to download since map objects are easier to acquire.

The (first?) Disgaea 4 update is available now for the Japanese version. Disgaea 4 is slated for a summer release in North America.
