Hell is Other Demons will have players battling wave after wave of monsters and sickening demons, struggling to stay alive in its bleak world of red, pink, and gray.
Players are given access to a number of weapons to fight against demons in small arenas, weaving across platforms, jumping, stomping, and running about to avoid shots and enemy attacks. The main character is highly maneuverable, but can be easily overwhelmed by the enemy groups and waves the developer has designed.
Players can buy upgrades to help them even out the playing field, upgrading elements of their character and weapons. These can be bought with gems dropped by their enemies, giving players new means of attacking should they do well at surviving.
Hell is Other Demons’ 4-color vision of Hell can be experienced in campaign mode, which features levels constructed by the developers. These are difficult, but players can also throw themselves into the random challenge of the game’s procedural mode, facing unknowable dangers for a spot on the game’s leaderboards.
Hell is Other Demons is set to release in this quarter, and is raising votes on Greenlight for a Steam release.
