404 GAME RE:SET will take place in a dystopian world where Sega reigns supreme. You will fight alongside anthropomorphized games that have made their marks on history. Everyone has an Anode and a Cathode form, which shows if the characters have been purified or not. The games that will appear as “pretty anime girls” are:

  • Altered Beast (VA: Akira Sekine – Akira Kazama in Street Fighter V)
  • Columns (VA: Hitomi Ueda – Gold Ship in Uma Musume)
  • Crazy Taxi (VA: Mariya Ise – Consort Yu in Fate/Grand Order)
  • Dynamite Cop (VA: Misaki Watada – Glenda in Strike the Blood)
  • Fighting Vipers (VA: Kaede Hondo – Sakura Minamoto in Zombie Land Saga)
  • Golden Axe (VA: Yume Miyamoto – Rikka Takarada in SSSS.Gridman)
  • Hang-on (VA: Natsumi Fujiwara – Abigail Jones in Great Pretender)
  • Pongo (VA: Ari Ozawa – Chiyo in Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun)
  • Space Harrier (VA: Yumiri Hanamori – Yanfei in Genshin Impact)
  • The House of the Dead (VA: Miku Ito – Miku Nakano in The Quintessential Quintuplets)
  • Thunder Blade (VA: Mikako Komatsu – Maki in Jujutsu Kaisen)
  • Virtua Racing (VA: Haruka Shiraishi – Aponia in Honkai Impact 3rd)

The demo for 404 GAME RE:SET is readily available in the Japanese app stores. It serves as a prologue for the story. As well, it will give a good look at how the game will play.

404 GAME RE:SET will come out on mobile devices in Japan on April 25, 2023.
