Square Enix shared a sample of the Final Fantasy XVI Phoenix theme song “Away” and its lyrics ahead of the soundtrack’s debut on July 19, 2023. Due to Joshua being the Dominant of Phoenix, it samples parts of his theme song in it.

As a reminder, there are two versions of the Final Fantasy XVI soundtrack on the way. The base one is a seven disc set for $64.99. The Ultimate Edition is $82.99 and includes an eighth disc with additional and unused songs. Neither one includes Kenshi Yonezu’s “Tsuki Wo Miteita – Moongazing.”
Final Fantasy XVI is available for the PS5. A demo is out now. There’s a six-month exclusivity period ahead of it appearing on any other platform. The Final Fantasy XVI soundtrack arrives on July 19, 2023 worldwide.
