Sony, Nixxes, and Guerrilla announced the Horizon Forbidden West PC specs and requirements ahead of launch, to help people determine if their computer can handle it. So we now know what the minimum “Very Low” and “Very High” asks are.
What kind of PC spec and requirements do I need to meet to run Horizon Forbidden West?
First, here are the absolute minimum requirements to run the game. It’s actually quite manageable, provided someone is okay with going with the Very Low preset option. The one part that isn’t negotiable is that you need Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or better, 16GB RAM, and 150GB SSD space for it.
- AVG Performance: 720p and 30 FPS
- Processor: Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500XT 4GB
- Storage: 150GB SSD
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or better
The recommended specs and requirements for Horizon Forbidden West on PC are a little bit higher, but also aren’t too demanding.
- AVG Performance: 1080p and 60 FPS
- Processor: Intel Core i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700
- Storage: 150GB SSD
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or better
Once we get into the High and Very High requirements, they really demand newer hardware and a gaming PC. First, here are the High specs for the game.
- AVG Performance: 1440p and 60 FPS or 4K and 30 FPS
- Processor: Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800
- Storage: 150GB SSD
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or better
Finally, here is what you need to run the Very High preset.
- AVG Performance: 4K and 60 FPS
- Processor: Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
- Memory: 16GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900XT
- Storage: 150GB SSD
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit version 1909 or better
Horizon Forbidden West will come to the PC on March 21, 2024. It is available now on the PS4 and PS5.
