Two titles are coming out on Wednesday, one retro and one new. Sega brings us Ecco the Dolphin, vintage collection style. The graphics are supposedly enhanced over the Genesis version and major new feature is a leaderboard that keeps track of the best times. Plus like all Xbox Live Arcade games you have 200 achievement points hidden in there. It’s also cheaper than the virtual console version 400 Microsoft Points ($5) versus 800 Wii Points ($8) in North America.
Hexic 2 improves on the original by adding in online play, 3D graphics and new pieces (like the black pearls in Hexic 1). Better graphics probably won’t convince someone to switch over from their free game, online play might. Also hardcore Hexic players may notice that the grid has been expanded by one column.
