As you make your way through Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll come to a quest called Discover the Secret of the Antechamber. During this quest, you will need to make your way into a secret area in the library, eventually coming to a series of small chambers. These chambers will not be easy to cross and also contain some secrets you might want to grab while you are making your way through.
Discover the Secret of the Antechamber Quest Guide
As you reach the bottom of a long spiral staircase in the library basement, you will discover some vestiges of ancient magic. Interact with them to open a portal to a mysterious new area. Grab the chest on the left and then make your way through the main doors to enter the Athenaeum. The next room will be missing a large section of floor that you need to cross. Aim at the circular rune above the archway across the gap, and blast it with some basic casts. This will activate the rune, cause the floor to materialize, and you can make your way across.
The next step is a bit of combat against some living statues. Us L1 + R1 to grab their weapons from them and smash them to pieces, or R1 to grab some burning pots and throw them. You should be able to make quick work of the enemies and then proceed to the next room.
How to Get the First Chest
In the next room, you will see a chest on the left with no way to get to it. What you need to do is walk back toward the beginning of the room on the left side, and some hidden floor panels will appear. Keep following this newly emerging path, and it will bring you to the chest and some more loot. Once again, blast the rune over the door to make the floor appear, but this time you will need to sprint and then jump at the end to make it across.
How to Get the Second Chest in the Antechamber
In the next room, you will find another chest on the right side. This one is a little more awkward to get to. First, you need to hit the rune above the archway once, causing half the walkway to appear. Now, make your way to the right, jump on the newly materialized floor that has also appeared there, and follow it until you cannot walk any further. When this happens, hit the rune above the door once more to form additional flooring in front of you, and just continue on until you reach the chest. After that, you can turn around and head back to the central walkway, simply hitting the again to reform half the path. When you reach the end, hit it again to get all the way to the next area.
You will come to yet another room that requires combat, so take out all the enemies and then make your way through the door and into the final room that contains a mysterious book. Grab the book, and your work here is done.
