Honkai Impact 3rd Lantern Concept Art Shared

When HoYoVerse launched the 7.4 version of Honkai Impact 3rd, it also introduced the Shu of Destruction Lantern as a boss. To help go over the design of the character, the company shared some insights, screenshots, and art looking at how she was made and her fight was constructed.

There are seven images total of Lantern and the area in which players fight her in Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 that were shared. The first images were designed to give a sense of the space. It shows the Masquerade Corridor where people fight her, and how it was designed to look like both a dance hall and offer opportunities for her to attack both hand-to-hand with Taijutsu and from afar with guns. Images were also shared showing how she’ll transition between melee and ranged attacks, with a note that she does need to pause to reload sometimes. The final image was her concept art, which was designed to show how she can be calm, but that she also fights fiercely, wholeheartedly, and without concern for herself.

While Lantern is a boss in Honkai Impact 3rd at the moment, she will also be a playable character soon. When HoYoVerse announced the version 7.5 test server recruitment survey, it also teased participants will get access to the new battlesuit. That is Lone Destruction: Shadowchaser. It is the first one for Lantern, making her the second playable member of the Seven Shus. (The first is Mad Pleasure: Shadowbringer Thelema

Honkai Impact 3rd is available on PCs and mobile devices. The 7.4 version is live, with the 7.5 one on the way.
