Following in the footsteps of Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational for PlayStation Vita also has online lobbies you can walk around in. Players can talk to other players with their avatar and challenge them to a round of golf.
In Japan, the lobbies became a "game" themselves. Users discovered glitches that let them jump through walls and create secret meeting places. "Obviously, that wasn’t intentional," said Masashi Muramori, Clap Hanz’s president, while speaking to Siliconera about the invisible rooms in Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds. "It’s very much part of the game in terms of the lobby. A lot of players have enjoyed looking for places where they can get into the wall. It also helps with conversation because you see someone do that and you ask how do you do that?" Since the glitches helped build a community, I wonder if Clap Hanz will hide secret rooms for players to find in World Invitational.
Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational comes out on December 17 in Japan as a PlayStation Vita launch title.
