Depending on what you do in Blasphemous 2, Great Preceptor Radamés might be your first boss encounter. You’ll take a trip to the Sacred Entombments and to face this foe. Don’t worry, should you follow this guide, you will escape death in this terrifying game.
Great Preceptor Radamés Boss Guide – Blasphemous 2
Depending on your initial weapon choice, Great Preceptor Radamés may be one of the first main bosses you get to face in Blasphemous 2. He has two major stages and his attacks will vary in intensity, with your chance to avoid them becoming slimmer as you progress through the battle.
First Stage
The first stage features Radamés with his legs stuck below the ground, which makes him move relatively slowly. Radamés has two main attacks during this phase. He will fire purple projectiles toward you and, once you are close to one of the walls on the stage, he will try to smash you by running towards you. He will also try to swing his sword, which has limited range, so keep your distance and you will be ok. Occasionally, he will swing his sword rapidly and hit a major portion of the ground. Again, keeping your distance is key to dodging his sword attacks.
The purple projectiles come at you at two different heights. Jump over the ground-level ones and crouch to avoid the ones that are higher. In this stage, these projectiles won’t be much of a problem for you. Just continue crouching and jumping while attracting Radamés towards one of the walls.
Once you are near a wall, Radamés will charge at you. He will telegraph his attack, so you will get a chance to dodge it. To do so, jump towards the wall and wall jump over Radamés. Then, hit him with everything you got. Repeat this process until he is at a quarter of his max health.
Second Stage
Once you drop Radamés’ health to 25%, he will eat the body he was carrying and recover half of his life. I would strongly recommend that, while he is having his snack, you make use of Prayers to deal damage to limit his healing. You can even prevent him from healing at all if used correctly.
During this second stage, Radamés will finally get his feet off the ground and will become a bigger menace than before. He will be faster, and his sword swings will be a bigger threat. Just like before, keep your distance. His purple projectiles will come more often, and his wall attack will leave you less time to dodge. To avoid taking damage on the latter, wait for the last moment possible. You will be able to jump over Radamés despite him being taller at this point.
One extra attack is his ability to attack the ground and summon glass that will damage you. Again, keep your distance and jump if needed. Continue dealing as much damage as you can between his attacks, and you will defeat him.
Blasphemous 2 is available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
