How to Complete the Genshin Impact Perilous Expedition Event

In-game events in Genshin Impact will reward your combat abilities and other skills with a variety of items and materials. Thankfully, while we wait for the 4.0 Genshin Impact update, we still have events to enjoy. That is the case of the Perilous Expedition, which will have you battle enemies with certain conditions that will vary daily. It sounds more complicated than it is, so don’t worry about getting through the Genshin Impact Perilous Expedition.

How to Start the Genshin Impact Perilous Expedition

Before you take part in the Perilous Expedition Event in Genshin Impact, you will first have to get an Adventure Rank of 20 or above as well as complete the “Song of the Dragon and Freedom” Archon Quest. You will then receive the “Complex Cartography” quest that will have you travel to Sumeru’s rainforest. All you need to do is to talk to Peixiu complete this unlock quest and then participate in the Perilous Expedition event in Genshin Impact.

This event is pretty simple. Each day you will adventure into a new Perilous Expedition, expanding to five days, one stage per day. At the same time, each stage has three different combat rounds. There are four different difficulties to choose from:

  • Normal: The enemies’ difficulties will adjust to your World Level.
  • Hard: The enemies’ difficulties will adjust to your World Level.
  • Crisis: The enemies’ difficulties will adjust to your World Level.
  • Dire: Has a set difficulty with opponents having a set level as well.

Each Perilous Expedition will have a set number of buffs and a specific Ley Line Disorder. To gain each of the buffs, you will have to use multiple unique characters, varying your party’s composition before each round. You can opt to use the same characters always, but you won’t have access to all the buffs available. Here are all the Perilous Expeditions with their buffs, Ley Line Disorders, and monsters list so you can prepare the best team to tackle the challenge.

Day 1 – Valley of Divergence Perilous Expedition

Buffs:

  • Character ATK +30%
  • 8 non-repeated characters: Character Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks will deal 18.75% more DMG, and their CRIT Rate will be increased by 12.5% after using Elemental Skills or Elemental Bursts for 10s.
  • 12 non-repeated characters: When characters’ Normal Attacks hit opponents, these attacks will deal 1 extra instance of True DMG. This effect can be triggered once every second. When characters’ Charged or Plunging Attacks hit opponents, a Steelshock Pulse will be unleashed that deals Physical DMG. This effect can be triggered once every 3.5s.

Ley Line Disorder:

When some opponents’ HP drops below 15%, a warning signal will appear on them. 12s later, these opponents will regenerate 30% HP. This effect can be triggered 1 time per opponent per challenge.

Day 2 – Obscured End Perilous Expedition

Buffs:

  • Character Max HP +30%
  • 8 non-repeated characters: When Character HP is greater than 70%, CRIT Rate is increased by 11.3% and CRIT DMG is increased by 22.5%.
  • 12 non-repeated characters: When a character is healed or is protected by a shield, a shockwave will be unleashed at that character’s position, dealing True DMG. This effect can be triggered once every 3.5s.

Ley Line Disorder:

Boss enemies periodically unleash powerful skills, dealing DMG to characters hit.

Day 3 – The Icy Spring’s Source Perilous Expedition

Buffs:

  • Characters’ Energy Recharge increased by 36%.
  • 8 non-repeated characters: Characters’ Elemental Burst DMG is increased by 18.75%. After using an Elemental Burst, all party members gain 7.5% All Elemental DMG bonus for 8s. Max 3 stacks.
  • 12 non-repeated characters: When characters’ Elemental Bursts hit opponents, a Steelshock Pulse will be unleashed that deals Physical DMG to nearby opponents. This effect can be triggered once every 8s.

Ley Line Disorder:

Fruits of the Vine will appear at intervals during the challenge. They will chase nearby characters and explode once they hit, dealing Dendro DMG to nearby characters and opponents. The size of these Fruits will decrease and the DMG they can deal will gradually decrease, and their speed will gradually increase.

Day 4 – Forsaken Mountains Perilous Expedition

Buffs:

  • Elemental Mastery of all party members increased by 160.
  • 8 non-repeated characters: When characters trigger Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Burning. and Bloom reactions against opponents, or deal DMG through Dendro Cores (including Burgeon and Hyperbloom) that hit opponents, opponents’ Physical RES and All Elemental RES will be decreased by 35% for 6s.
  • 12 non-repeated characters: When characters trigger Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Burning. and Bloom reactions against opponents, or deal DMG through Dendro Cores (including Burgeon and Hyperbloom) that hit opponents, a shockwave will be unleashed at that opponent’s position, dealing True DMG. This effect can be triggered once every 3s.

Ley Line Disorder:

Every 8s, each Attendant will heal the boss opponent(s) for 10% HP and increase their All Elemental and Phys RES.

Day 5 – Chasm of Dissolution Perilous Expedition

Buffs:

  • Character ATK +30%
  • 8 non-repeated characters: After a character triggers Swirl on an opponent, this opponent’s DEF will be decreased by 40% for 6s.
  • 12 non-repeated characters: When a character triggers Swirl on an opponent, a shockwave will be unleashed at the opponent’s position, dealing True DMG. This effect can be triggered once every 3s.

Ley Line Disorder:

A Plasma Field will be generated at the edge of the challenge area once the challenge begins. While within the field, characters will be hit by a lightning strike once every 4s and take Electro DMG. The area covered by the field will gradually expand as the challenge proceeds.

Be sure to build your part according to each combat round in the Genshin Impact Perilous Expedition event. Your rewards will be dependent on the difficulty you choose to play on. You will be able to collect Hero’s Witt, Mystic and Fine Enhancement Ore, and Primogems, among other rewards. If you only wish to collect Primogems, then just complete each stage on normal difficulty. Otherwise, good luck on the grind, and have a wonderful five days of perilous combat.
