How to Download and Start the Fae Farm DLC Coasts of Croakia

Now that the DLC is live, you may wonder how you can start the Fae Farm Coasts of Croakia add-on and where the Archi-Pal-Igo Park location even is. In most cases, it’s as easy as updating the game, starting a new in-game day, checking the new letter in the mailbox, and walking to the new NPC down near Eddy’s home.

How do I download the Fae Farm Coasts of Croakia DLC?

This varies depending on the platform you’re playing on. If you play Fae Farm on a PC, that could be a separate download! The add-on is $9.99 on Steam. You’d need to purchase, then download it.

If you have the Deluxe PC edition or Switch version of the game, it is a lot simpler. You just need to update the game. This will trigger automatically if you are connected to the internet the next time you choose to start playing. On the Switch, which is the version using, that takes you from 1.5.1 to 2.0.0.

Once you load up the 2.0.0 version of the game with the add-on applied, you’ll need to wait until the next in-game day for changes to apply. When the new day begins, a “Festival Celebration: Fae Festival” notification will come up, and a new quest marker on screen that says “Dear Occupant” will direct you to check your mailbox. There will be a letter from Lem, the new NPC and owner of Archi-Pal-Igo Park, inviting you to the the new location. The new quest chain’s missions will be found under the Side section in the menu.

After checking your mail, the quest will direct you to Grenu at Stay-A-While Bay in Fae Farm to start the DLC. I’d already beaten the game at this point, but this should show up for anyone after getting past the tutorial missions and dispelling the whirlpools with Neppy. Since the Fae Farm map is terrible and doesn’t actually show paths, select Stay-A-While Bay like I did in the screenshot below and use the West Town fast travel point to get there quicker. There’s also now a fast travel pedestal here that needs an Emerald Seal, if you want to unlock that and get there faster.

Because you now have the DLC, there will be a series of lily pads to the west of Eddy’s cabin and store. Walk along them to meet Grenu the frog, redeem the quest. The new “Tummy Travel” quest will come up. Talk to Grenu again and select “open mouth.” The frog’s mouth will open, a portal will appear, and you can walk inside to reach Archi-Pal-Igo Park.

You can now use this means to go back and forth between the new DLC area and main map. Talk to Grenu once more to finish “Tummy Travel,” and then walk south up the steps and meet Lem on the left to get your Conch and start the “Live, Laugh, Lem” quest.

Note that there is no fast travel point in the new area, so you will need to always use the new Stay-A-While Bay fast travel point and Grenu to go between areas.

Fae Farm and the Coasts of Croakia DLC are available now on the Switch and PC.
