How to Find a Hotel in Costa del Sol in FFVII Rebirth

Once you land in Costa del Sol in FFVII Rebirth after a harrowing voyage, your first order of business will be to find a hotel to stay in while you’re there. However, there are no indicators showing exactly where the hotels are on the map you can check out, so here’s how to find a place.

How do I find a hotel to stay at in Costa del Sol in FFVII Rebirth?

There are two hotels you need to check in town. One is The Royal Coast, which is in the center of Costa del Sol along the main road. The other is the Costa del Sol Resort that’s at the end of the road. To tick off the boxes necessary to start the event that actually leads to Cloud and his group finding a place to stay, you need to visit both and talk to the person behind the check-in desk.

There’s honestly a natural progression to checking hotels, so here’s my recommended order for looking for a place to stay. First, walk along the main street until you come to the (huge) The Royal Coast. That’s immediately on your left as you walk down the main road for the first time, just across from the docks and small stalls. Ask about a place to stay here (and get rejected).

Here’s where it is:

Next, head to the end of the street. There’s where the Costa del Sol Resort is. It’s a smaller hotel and building, so you might not even catch that you can walk up to the front desk and check in about a place to stay. Ask the person working there about a room. You won’t be able to get rooms.

Here’s where you can find that place on the map:

Once you leave that second hotel, take a few steps outside. You’ll then automatically trigger a story event that will lead to you finally finding a place for Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Barret, and Red XIII to stay.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available on the PS5, with the exclusivity arrangement ending on May 29, 2024.
