How to Find Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s False Dragon Titan Location

When going through the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Path of Legends storyline, finding the location of the False Dragon Titan might prove a bit challenging. This is because while the island in Casseroya Lake where it lives is very clearly marked, you don’t see an obvious “Titan” Pokemon there when you arrive. Rather, there’s a bit of an investigation that needs to be done.

How to Find the False Dragon Titan in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

First, you need to make sure you are strong enough to even survive reaching the False Dragon Titan location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Most of the Pokemon around here are about level 50. (Give or take a few levels.) Also, while we never see the Titans’ levels, my team featured characters at least at level 48.

When you get to that island, make sure you have a Pokemon with dragon or fairy-type moves in the first position. This is because it is entirely populated with Tatsugiri, and you want to be prepared in case you speak to the “wrong” one. At the very southern tip of the landmass, the one past the small strip of land covered by water, you’ll see a single Curly Form Tatsugiri. Speak to that one. It will say, “Ai! Tiaitaaaaaa!” This signifies it is the “titan” you’re looking for and will kick off the fight.

How to Defeat the False Dragon Titan in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

This fight ties in to the new Pokemon lore that involves Dondozo and Tatsugiri. Basically, it can “Commander” the Pokemon in Double Battles in-game, and that essentially happens for the False Dragon Titan fight. The first phase involves Dondozo. I recommend having Pokemon with electric and grass-type moves, since it is weak to both of them. If you raised a Meowscarada or Pawmot, both could come in handy!

The second phase of the fight means following Dondozo for a bit as it goes for the herb. Again, this will be clearly marked on the map and it doesn’t really “run” at a fast pace. A second fight against it kicks off, with Arven joining you with a Greedent.

Finally, the third phase of this boss battle brings out the Tatsugiri alone. You remember that Pokemon with dragon or fairy-type moves I mentioned earlier? Prepare for its moment to shine as you best it. Once you do, you’ll get another scene with Arven and an upgrade for your legendary mount.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available for the Nintendo Switch.
