How to Get a Pact Ring in Fire Emblem Engage

You won’t be able to get the Pact Ring to kick off your new romance with a love interest until you’re nearing the end of Fire Emblem Engage. After completing Chapter 22, a new Paralogue will open up at the Garden of Memories. It is called The Connector and tasks you with going into retrieve the Pact Ring you will use to propose from Corrupted enemies. This is a two-step process. First, you must defeat the Corrupted that took it from the pedestal to retrieve it before that enemy escapes from the stage. Once you have the ring, you then need to defeat all Corrupted on the map. This is quite a challenging fight, and having a number of people who can use healing staves on hand will help a lot.

How to Start Your Romance with a Fire Emblem Engage Love Interest

Once you actually “own” the Pact Ring, getting someone to be your partner is pretty easy. All you need to do is reach an A-rank support level with one of your allies. After you do, go to your bedside table in The Somniel to retrieve the ring. When you find them in the hub area and talk to them, you’ll have the option to give them the ring and trigger the romantic conversation.

However, keep in mind that the ensuing dialogue isn’t guaranteed to be romantic. While some characters will profess their love or even propose back to you, others will only mention being your ally or friend.

Fire Emblem Engage is available for the Nintendo Switch.
