Okay, so, “A Disquieting Shop” can be a tricky side story in Octopath Traveler 2, simply because if you don’t use Throne or Castti, it might be challenging to knock one of the involved NPCs out. The person is really strong! However, to get answers, the Clingy Woman has to be basically put to sleep.
So here’s how things go. First, head to Stormhail and visit its item shop. The Shopkeeper’s Daughter will express unease with the new lady in her father’s life. However, she’s always around, the daughter can’t speak freely in front of her, and it isn’t really made clear what you should do to complete the questline.
Which means what you need to do is knock her out. She’s exceptionally, strong, so I recommend doing something like have Throne knock her out. (Back when I went through the quest, I had an Ochette under level 40, and she ended up knocked out, but a level 40 can handle it without any fuss.)
Doing so ends the Octopath Traveler 2 side story “A Disquieting Shop” and nets you a Sharp Nut (L), a Slippery Nut (L), and 12,000 leaves.
