What is the Misty Mountain Path in Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution?

The Misty Mountain Path can be found as the middle section of Mt Meditation in Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution. The path is obscured by mists that make it harder to progress. If you played a Zelda game and attempted to navigate the Lost Woods, it’s a similar concept. If you take the wrong path, you loop back to the start.

In each section of the map, there are two elevators. The first is immediately visible in front of where you enter the area. The second is further along the path. Walk past the first elevator and continue to a wider area that is split into a two-way fork. Follow the left path to find the second elevator.

How Do You Navigate the Misty Mountain Path?

The key to getting through the Misty Mountain Path is getting on the elevators in the right order. Along the path, you can find messages indicated by a yellow marker. The first of these messages suggests you follow the messages to figure out the route. However, the messages do not correlate with the actual route, and many of the messages don’t offer many hints beyond stating that someone left the messages.

The only way to navigate the mists is to use trial and error. It’s not too difficult as there are only two elevators, but it can still be frustrating. Aside from the full reset of the sequence, the map doesn’t change as you progress, so it’s easy to lose track of where you are.

If you don’t feel like navigating this yourself, the sequence is this: take the second elevator (after the fork) twice, then take the elevator immediately in front of you two more times. You’ll know you’ve done the sequence right when the area’s visibility improves, and the elevator in front of you has a red switch gate in front of it.

Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is out now for PS5, PS4 and Switch.
