How to start Diablo 4 Season 3 Season of the Construct

There are a few steps to starting Season 3 – Season of the Construct. First, you must make a new character to participate in the new Season. For those unfamiliar with this process, you will need to do this every time a new Season comes out, which means starting over from square one. The only thing that will transfer over is your progress on the map.

Any Legendary items, Aspects, Murmuring Obols, and Gold from your Eternal Realm character will not follow you into any seasonal content. You will also need to complete Class-specific quests in order to unlock Specializations. This does not automatically unlock, as progress for your Class quests is stuck to each character and doesn’t translate across the board.

Once you have made your character, it will ask if you want to participate in the new Season. Select it and then press the Play option to jump back into Sanctuary to begin the new, unique storyline and undertake seasonal objectives to obtain experience for your Battle Pass. Rewards include a new mount and various cosmetics, such as unique armor, teleportation effects, and weapon skins.

Starting the new seasonal storyline is actually relatively simple. The game will spawn you in Ostaf, which is where the series of story quests begins. Just above the Gae Kul Waypoint will be a teal marker (all seasonal quests will be marked with a teal marker).

Speak to the NPC there to begin the Season 3 – Season of the Construct questline. Doing so will unlock the new Seneschal Companion, which is a new feature unique to this season.

Diablo 4 is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Vessel of Hatred DLC expansion will arrive in late 2024.
