Neptunia Sisters Endings

How to Unlock Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters Endings

It might not be apparent at first glance, but Neptunia: Sisters VS Sisters has multiple endings, and acquiring most of them is a prerequisite for earning all the game’s trophies and achievements. With that in mind, we’ve come up with a quick, spoiler-free guide to earning all three Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters endings.

How many endings are in Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters?

Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters has three endings to unlock: A Normal Ending, A True Ending, and a Bad Ending. Getting the True ending is needed to earn the game’s full trophy/achievement list, but the Bad Ending is fully optional, so you can skip earning it if you wish.

What do I need to do to unlock each ending?

Unlocking each Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters ending is fairly simple, but it’s almost entirely dependent on the in-game “Shares” mechanic.

During the game, you’ll be able to check a little “Shares” gauge in the corner of the screen that measures the relative power of the Gameindustri Goddesses versus the dastardly rPhone. This percentage starts at 99:1 in the rPhone’s favor, but grows over time as you make progress in the story. You can see it on the map and party screens.

The ratio of Goddess-to-rPhone Shares during the final set of events leading up to the end of the game in Chapter 12 will determine whether you get the True, Bad, or Normal ending.

What are the Share ratio requirements needed to unlock each ending?

The needed share ratios to unlock the different Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters endings are simple to understand.

If the Goddesses lose the market battle with the rPhone, you get the Bad ending.

If the Goddess regain their dominance and utterly crush the rPhone’s shares, you get the Normal ending.

In spirit of healthy competition, the True Ending demands that the Share ratio between the Goddesses and the rPhone be equal.

Here are the share ratio thresholds you’ll need to hit by the end of the game to properly trigger each ending. Many thanks to Japanese site Game Tamashii  and Grim Tsushin for helping figure out the detailed percentages.

  • Bad Ending = Goddess Shares are under 30%
  • Normal Ending = Goddess Shares are at or above 70%
  • True Ending = Goddess Shares and rPhone Shares are both at 50%

Unfortunately, getting this even ratio can be tricky, considering that it’s very easy to get over the Normal ending threshold just playing naturally. That means you’ll likely have to try to artificially lower your Share percentages to keep from enacting a complete blowout.

Luckily, there are some things you can do to manipulate your Share thresholds.

What can I do to manipulate my Share ratio in Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters?

Your Share ratings can actually go down in Neptunia Sisters VS Sisters if you play badly enough. You can also do certain activities to drop your Share ratings a few percentage points. To make things easier on yourself, seed these little bits of self-sabotage into your activities as you play, so that you don’t end up having to “grind” your way to the True ending. You’ll also want to maintain multiple saves, so you can roll back if you accidentally get an ending you’re not aiming for.

Here are the activities that can raise the Goddess Share rating:

  • Characters leveling up
  • Accomplishing quests acquired from Chirper
  • Liking “good” messages on Chirper (these are displayed with WHITE text)

Here are activities that can lower the Goddess Share rating:

  • Party members getting KO’d in battle
  • A party wipeout in combat (all three members KO’d)
  • Liking “bad” messages on Chirper (these are displayed with RED text)
  • Cancelling out of a Disc Development session

Of all the activities available to you, cancelling a Disc Development is by far the most reliable way to manipulate your Shares downward. You’ll want to have a surplus of DC points and to be able to spam Disc Developments to cancel, but you’ll earn tons of it through normal battle, anyway. Once you get into the ballpark number of 50:50, you can use your Chirper activity to push it up or down a couple of points as needed.

Getting to that threshold and then clearing the game should propel you into the True Ending.
