Here’s how you unlock the Theatrhythm Final Bar Line Multi Battle multiplayer. First, you head into Series Quests. Choose your first title with the key you’re given and unlock it. Play through the first few songs in that “questline.” By the time you’ve unlocked your fourth song stage, you should see a prompt appear that says, “Mode unlocked: You can now access Multi Battle.” You can then head to that section and begin playing online with other people.

Now, once you do have that unlocked, you have two options available for playing with other people. One is Pair Style. This is a two-player cooperative mode. You can use it to go through stages together. The other one is Online Multi-Battle. This is a competitive, four-player mode where you’re vying for the high score. As you play, people can trigger obstacles. This can do things like summon Chocobos and Moogles to block the note indicators and make it more difficult to get the timing and inputs right.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is available for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
