WiiWare is taking a backseat this week. Two previously released in Japan only shooters for the TurboGrafx-16 are this week’s highlights. Hudson brings us Final Soldier which includes the time attack mode from Super Star Soldier R and a full single player game for 700 Wii Points ($7).
Joining Final Soldier is the campy cult shooter Cho Aniki. The TurboDuo version made by Masaya is online for 900 Wii Points ($9). This marks the first introduction of the series for North America. Now the floodgates are open for Ai Cho Aniki and spinoff Super Famicom fighting game.
Groovin’ Blocks is this week’s WiiWare game. The blend of music and falling blocks makes it sound like a poor man’s Lumines, but it appears be more like Columns. If you’re planning on risking 800 Wii Points ($8) on this take a look at the developer’s page for the game.
