Acquire started out with Japanese-style games with titles in the Tenchu, Way of the Samurai, and Shinobido series, and more recently Mind Zero and Akiba’s Trip. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine reveals that their latest title is a strategy game with giant enemies. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

Absolute Interception Wars: Metropolis Defenders is an upcoming game for PlayStation Vita, where you’ll have an “Interception City” that is armed to the teeth with various gadgets, used to repel the approaching giant enemies as part of a strategy game.

In order to protect mankind and their resources known as “Altanite,” you’ll take actions like turning the city around (yes, literally turning the city) as you control it to take down the giant enemies.

There are also support characters that will lend you a hand in protecting the city, and more.
