It’s A Mii & Mario On Wii U

Out of all the Wii U demos New Super Mario Bros. Mii felt the most like a game. Perhaps, because its a remix of the Wii title New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I gave it a go and it’s exactly like what it sounds like – a Super Mario Bros. game where your Mii jumps along with Mario.

There were a few courses to try, a desert stage and a level with many rotating (and flipping) platforms in the sky to jump on. New Super Mario Bros. Mii displays the game simultaneously on TV and the Wii U controller. I checked for lag between the screens, but couldn’t see any.

The point of this demo, I think, was to show how you can experience the same game on a TV or the Wii U controller. Nintendo was quick to point out New Super Mario Bros. Mii is not a confirmed Wii U title, just a tech demo.

Hmm… does anyone want a Mario game with Miis and new levels?
