Square Enix is celebrating the Final Fantasy series’ 30th anniversary in many ways this year, and one of the more unique events will turn the iconic Tokyo landmark into “Crystal Tokyo Tower” for just one night.
The “Crystal Light Up” event will give the Tokyo Tower a “Crystal Tower” makeover with blue lights on April 28 at 7:00pm JST. It’s a special lighting that will only be available for that night, so those of you in the area will definitely want to check it out.
Additionally, they’re also having a “4D Battle Projection” event at the Tokyo Tower observatory from April 28 through May 7. This projection mapping event fuses Tokyo’s night view with Final Fantasy with a display of an epic battle against bosses from the series in parts of Tokyo.
Those who get to check out the 4D Battle Projection event will also get a special Final Fantasy: Record Keeper postcard.
And finally, those who shop at the Final Fantasy 30th Premium Store can get limited-edition bags for the series’ 30th anniversary with any purchase of 2,000 yen or more. The store will be available at the Animate JMA Tokyo Tower from April 28 through May 14, 2017.
