Wario4ever reminded me in the comments (thanks!!) Kings Knight was just rated by the ESRB. You may have heard of the NES game before wading through Squaresoft’s pre-Final Fantasy days. Surprisingly, this is not a RPG, King’s Knight is a vertically scrolling shmup with four distinct stages and a fantasy setting. After you break walls with Ray Jack the Knight and crush flying objects with Toby the four warriors (or whatever ones are alive) link up for the final battle. I’m probably one of the few people with a physical copy of this and I haven’t played it in many years. Before you know where the element pieces are the game is nearly impossible, once you memorize the locations of the power-ups the game is pretty easy.

Speaking of the ESRB Sonic & Knuckles also got rated a few days ago too. I think we all figured Sega would get around to releasing Sonic & Knuckles, the final 2D Sonic game on the Genesis at sometime. Since it’s a ROM the lock on technology, which made the cartridge unique won’t work. I imagine Sega will sell Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic 2 & Knuckles as separate ROM releases in the future.
