Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory Demo Will Be Available Today (Update)

According to the Japanese Twitter account, the Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory demo will be available to download on October 15, 2020. While a demo had been previously announced, no release date had been mentioned. This information was shared during Square Enix’s Tokyo Game Show 2020 segment, in which the company also confirmed and showcased various multiplayer modes. Update: The demo will be released in North America on October 14, 2020.

The tweet reporting the Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory demo release dated included a message from the series’ director, Tetsuya Nomura. In it, he asked all potential players to try out the demo once it is officially released. A short video was also included in the tweet, showcasing the start screen for the demo and a snippet of the version of “Dearly Beloved” that appears in the spin-off.

And here’s Nintendo of America confirming the trial will launch today on the eShop.

As mentioned previously, Kingdom hearts Melody of Memory will have multiplayer options. Two modes will be available. One will be focused on purely cooperative play. The other will be a little more competitive and have players facing off to earn a high score when playing certain songs.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 11, 2020 in Japan and on November 13, 2020 in North America and Europe.
